I bought my first home with my partner back in 2018. It had been 30 years since my mum had bought a property and the only people who could advise us on the process were people we were paying and therefore, I felt I could not completely trust.

I set up a Facebook group for first time buyers, where they could ask all the questions they were too embarrassed to ask elsewhere and where they could get objective support from others in the same situation. It was months of embarrassing 'top tips' posts by me and then all of a sudden it took off.

The group currently has 32.5k members and has become an amazing community. I believe it is the largest first time buyers and possibly home buyers group in the UK. I have recently started a new Facebook group for renovations and decor and will be launching an Instagram page soon.
